Prepare before crews mobilize

Make Storm Cleanup Safer and More Organized

After severe weather, debris types, road access, disposal rules, utilities, insurance documentation, and equipment availability can change quickly. A clear site report helps the right crew and equipment arrive with fewer surprises.

Document conditions before moving debris

Photograph damage from a safe distance before cleanup, especially when insurance, neighboring property, structures, vehicles, utilities, or disputed responsibility may be involved. Do not enter unstable structures or handle downed lines.

  • Property address and best access route
  • Photos of debris, structures, gates, roads, and overhead hazards
  • Vegetative, household, construction, appliance, and hazardous material separated when possible
  • Utilities, flooding, unstable trees, sharp material, and blocked access identified

Separate material when conditions allow

Vegetative debris, household contents, construction material, appliances, tires, chemicals, and electronics may be handled differently by local facilities or storm programs. Mixing everything together can slow loading or prevent the intended disposal route.

Expect timing to depend on the event

Storm response can mobilize three Marucci Enterprises trailers and coordinate additional hauling cycles separately from normal two-slot rentals. Business hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., but safe access, road conditions, landfill operations, fuel, crew and equipment availability, travel, and work priority still control timing. No response time should be treated as guaranteed until conditions are reviewed.
