The slab itself
Approximate length and width help, but thickness, wire mesh, rebar, footings, curbs, piers, and connection to other structures determine how the concrete can be broken and handled.
- Driveways, patios, walkways, pads, curbs, and foundations
- Thickness and visible reinforcement
- Cracks, buried edges, footings, and attached structures
- Whether concrete is already broken or still in place
Access and underground risk
Equipment width, gates, soft ground, overhead clearance, septic systems, drainage, irrigation, utilities, nearby foundations, and surfaces that must be protected can change the safest removal method.
Hauling and the condition left behind
Concrete becomes heavy quickly and often needs dedicated loading and disposal planning. Confirm whether the quote includes breakup, loading, hauling, disposal, removal of base material, imported fill, rough grading, or preparation for replacement work.
